Tomorrow’s election is critical for the LGBT community in many ways. This is not a year to skip the voting booth. We will be keeping an eye on the gay marriage ballots in Maine and Washington. Of critical concern is Minnesota’s Amendment 1, which would limit marriage to one man and one woman in that state.
The presidential election is most critical given that Romney is not supportive of the LGBT community, he signed the so-called marriage pledge and has vowed to work toward the passage of a federal amendment that would ban gay marriage in the United States. LGBT citizens don’t have much time to talk to everyone around them to be sure they understand the important issues. Do your part.
No matter what you’re doing tomorrow, take the time to VOTE!
