New Jersey Senate Votes Against Gay Marriage

In a disappointing 20-14 vote, the New Jersey senate voted yesterday against “The Freedom of Religion and Equality in Civil Marriage Act” that would have granted same-sex couples the right to marry in that state. The bill had passed the Judiciary in December with a 7-6 vote.
